How: I use HIPAA-compliant, secure messaging and video conferencing to make the challenging work of psychotherapy convenient AND confidential. All you need is a comfortable private space, reliable internet, and a smart phone, tablet, laptop or personal computer and we’ll talk together!
Who: I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with over a decade of experience providing psychotherapy. I specialize in anxiety, depression, unhealthy relationship patterns, and difficult transitions.

IS ONLINE THERAPY RIGHT FOR YOU?
Our first session will be an assessment. Think of it as a mental health check up. I’ll ask lots of questions to get a good sense of who you are and how you might be helped. Following the assessment, I’ll offer recommendations for treatment. The recommendation may be with me, or in cases where others would be a better fit, I promise to share that recommendation as well. The first session is not a commitment to therapy. You can choose to proceed or not. It is an opportunity to learn more about yourself and about the process. Each day is a new chance to invest in your best self.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
If you are interested in pursuing online psychotherapy, you can set up an appointment with me by sending me an email at: firstname.lastname@example.org. Currently, I am providing psychotherapy to residents of New Jersey only. I offer free 20 minute consultations so that we can make an informed decision about fit and if it makes sense to move forward with a more thorough assessment.
After your consultation, I’ll email you a link to your client portal where you can complete the intake paperwork at your leisure prior to your first session. You’ll also receive a link to your virtual “waiting room,” and you’ll use this same link to attend every session.
A few minutes before your session, you’ll simply click the link and wait until I begin the session. It will look similar to FaceTime or Skype, but from a more secure platform. Your Telehealth visit will be private and confidential. No appointment will ever be recorded.
Online therapy simply requires access to a device with a camera, microphone and an internet connection. A laptop with a webcam or smartphone will work great! Headphones or headsets can be useful in reducing outside noise and creating a more connected experience.
